Nokia is getting back to the earphones and headphones market. The company is launching three new products soon.
Long time Nokia fans are aware that Nokia is only licensing the name to several manufacturers. HMD Global takes care of the mobile department. Flipkart is responsible for bringing Nokia-branded TVs in India.
This time, RichGo Technology is joining the companies with Nokia under its wing. The China-based company is the licensee of Nokia audio equipment and mobile accessories.
RichGo is not new to mobile accessories, however. The company is based in Shenzhen, China but it handles Philips mobile accessories in Asia.
With that being said, there are three products set to launch soon.
Nokia Essential Wireless Headphones E1200
The first product on the list is the new wireless headphones. These headphones features a 40mm driver for a rich and clear sound.
It is made of anodized aluminum making it lightweight and durable. The gloss finish matches the black, red, and white colors available. It is also foldable for portability.
The E1200 is expected to be comfortable due to the PU leather covering.
These headphones connect to devices via Bluetooth 5.0 which is pretty much the standard today. The working radius is around 30-feet.
Nokia claims that the battery will last up to 40 hours on a single charge. But that is yet to be tested. It does not have a quick charge feature. The battery tops up from 0 to 100 in three hours.
Nokia Essential Truly Wireless Earbuds E3200
The truly wireless earbuds market is getting saturated nowadays. Every smartphone manufacturer is now producing one for their brand.
The Nokia E3200 is not the first Nokia-branded truly wireless earbuds. HMD Global has the Nokia Truly Wireless BH-705 for sale. It is still unclear what the goal is for two brands with the same name selling the same kind of product.
Either way, the E3200 has three colors available—pink, green, black. All colorways look sleek and the design is great.
The E3200 connects via Bluetooth 5.0 as well. Battery life is rated up to five hours but it gets longer with the charging case. All in all, Nokia claims up to 17 hours of battery life.
Active people might find the E3200 a great pair of TWE. It has an IPX5 splashproof rating. It is not fully waterproof or weather-sealed. However, having a splashproof rating is better than having nothing.
There is an ambient mode feature that is great for commuting or for busy places. This feature allows the user to listen to the surroundings without removing the earbuds.
Nokia Essential Truly Wireless Earbuds E3500
The Nokia E3500 is another TWE in a market full of TWE. It does have a great design though which makes it stand out from the competition.
This headset is available in three colors—blue, black, and white. These earbuds look like the Apple Airpods but with a smaller form factor. Plus, it does not stick out that much.
Bluetooth 5.0 is present on the device. Sound quality-wise, it is yet to be tested. But, it is expected to have the same quality as other products, if not better.
Battery life is rated up to seven hours without the charging case. The case triples the battery life up to 25 hours. The E3500 charges in two hours as well.
The E3500 is also splashproof and has an IPX5 rating. It makes it a great workout companion as well.
The Ambient mode feature is present as well.
It is good to see Nokia-brand venture into different niches today. However, RichGo might have picked it up too late as the market is already full of products.
Hopefully, the quality and durability of these products stand out in the crowd. It has to make a great impression.
Nokia has not announced the prices of the products yet. It is set to be revealed alongside the release date of the products.
