Nokia is bringing three new models to its mid-range lineup. HMD Global is releasing the Nokia PureView smartphones later this year.
The new Nokia PureView smartphones consist of the Nokia 6.3, Nokia 7.3, and Nokia 9.3. Leaked renders reveal that these devices look similar to the past PureView devices.
Reports of the device surfaced earlier this year. This time, the said smartphones are nearing the final stages of testing.
With that being said, here are the known details of the new PureView smartphones.
Nokia 7.3 5G
The Nokia 7-series of devices is one of the successful lineups from HMD Global. These devices are part of the Google Android One program ensuring timely updates.
The Nokia 7.3 might be under Android One as well. If not, Nokia’s Android skin is very close to stock Android. It is clean and sleek looking.
Specs-wise, leaks revealed that the Nokia 7.3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor with 4GB or 6GB of memory. Storage might be 64GB for the base model and 128GB for the next variant.
One noticeable feature is the inclusion of 5G connectivity. 5G Android devices are usually the flagship level. But, HMD is offering the new feature to the mid-range market.
This device will have a 6.3-inch full HD+ display. It will come with a 90Hz refresh rate as well.
Other features include an improved camera system. The Nokia 7.3 will have a quad-camera setup with ZEISS Optics. The main sensor is not yet confirmed. It will either have a 48-megapixel or 64-megapixel sensor. The front-facing 24-megapixel camera is confirmed though.
The main camera is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and 2-megapixel macro sensor.
It will wave a 4,000mAh battery, fast charging, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and might arrive in dual-sim or single sim variants.
Nokia 9.3 PureView
This upcoming device is HMD Global’s contender in the flagship category. The Nokia 9.3 PureView 5G will have a Snapdragon 865 processor. This also means that Nokia is going all out in other features.
The Nokia 9.3 will have a 6.29-inch QuadHD+ pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be housed in an aluminum and glass body combination.
The Snapdragon processor is partnered with either 6GB o 8GB of memory. The base model has 128GB of storage. The more expensive variant doubles the storage size.
It will have a penta camera setup with Zeiss optics as well. However, the five camera setup has no upcoming details yet. But, it does have an 8K video recording capability as leaks revealed.
This Nokia flagship will have a 4,500mAh battery. It has a fast-charging feature and supports Qi wireless charging.
There is no confirmed price yet. But, it is speculated to retail for around US$799 for the 6/128GB base variant.
Nokia 6.3 PureView
Last among the three products is the Nokia 6.3 PureView. This device is pretty much on the entry-level side.
The upcoming device will have a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with PureDisplay branding as well. The front fascia houses the 16-megapixel selfie shooter. It will be surrounded by minimal bezels.
The quad-camera module in the back will have ZEISS Optics. There is no detailed information regarding the camera configuration yet. But, it is likely that it will have a wide, ultrawide, depth sensor, and macro lens setup.
Powering this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or 675. However, there are recent leaks stating that the Nokia 6.3 Pureview will have the Snapdragon 730. If that is the case, then the Nokia 7.3 might have the Snapdragon 765G.
Rumors say that there will be three variants available. The base model will have 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage. Middle-tier one will have 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage. Lastly, the most expensive variant will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of drive space.
Battery size is on the average size at 4,000mAh capacity. There is no confirmation yet if it will have fast charging capabilities yet.
The three Nokia PureView smartphones will arrive later this year. Nokia is currently known for its mid-range devices. The company is expected to perform well upon the release of this lineup.
