Former President Barrack Obama took the center stage for the Biden Campaign rally for the first. His campaign debut was a blow-by-blow rebuke against Donald Trump.
Former POTUS Barack Obama made attendance to his “first full-fledged drive-in rally event” in Philadelphia for the Joe Biden campaign. He definitely “fired-up” the crowd with what many called a powerful speech.
Obama swings punches
He reiterated his points from the DNC event—how Trump treats his presidency as a reality show. He says he is using this presidency to boost his profile, but “even then, his TV ratings are down. So you know that upsets him.”
This was reportedly aimed at the latest town hall event as an alternative to the second Presidential Debate.
“This is not a reality show…this is reality,” Obama points out, aiming at how the current POTUS has so far handled the pandemic. “Four years ago, you’d be tailgating here instead of watching a speech from your car.”

“I never thought Donald Trump would embrace my vision or continue my polices, but I did hope for the sake of the country, that he might show some interest in taking the job seriously,” he expressed. “But it hasn’t happened. He hasn’t showed any interest in doing the work or helping anybody but himself and his friends.”
This time he was pointing out Trump’s tax cut that mostly benefited the “billionaires.” The issue of tax cuts, which Joe Biden aims to counter when he wins, has been a very controversial topic. Biden and Harris have repeatedly clarified that their administration “won’t ask a single person making under $400,000 per year to pay a penny more in taxes.”
Obama further slammed his successor for taking “full credit” on the “economy he inherited” but will not take “blame for the pandemic he ignored.”
Moreover, with at least 220,000 deaths rising from COVID-19, Obama highlights Trump’s interview when he strongly stood behind his administration’s response to coronavirus. Accordingly, the current POTUS believed there is “not much” he would’ve changed.
Obama questions:
“Really? Not much? Nothing you can think of that could have helped some people keep their loved ones alive?”
Trump’s “secret Chinese bank account”
Furthermore, Obama touched on a piece of recent news finding that the current president allegedly has a “secret Chinese bank account.”
“We know that he continues to do business with China, because he has got a secret Chinese bank account! How is that possible?” Obama said in disbelief. “Can you imagine if I had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for reelection?”
Trump has since slammed his rival, Joe Biden, for having a relationship with China. To a point that he brought up Biden’s late son, Hunter, and his alleged dealings there. However, The New York Times reports that Trump’s tax analysis shows that he maintains a bank account in China.
15-year-old Obama paid more tax than current POTUS
Of course, Obama brought up the controversial $750 federal tax return of the POTUS. He compared it with his 15-year-old self when he was working his first job.
“My first job was at a Baskin-Robbins when I was 15-years-old. I think I might have paid more taxes that year,” he narrated.
Obama also went ahead and point out Trump’s tweeting habit that was highly pointed out during his Town Hall event.
Lastly, he urged the Philadelphia crowd to “vote like never before.”
