Good news for The Uncanny Counter fans! The drama will be getting an entertainment show-like special episode on February 7!
As reported by OSEN, The Uncanny Counter, OCN’s hit drama, confirmed a special episode. The show will broadcast live and will air on February 7.
The sudden change in the middle of success
OCN’s talk of the town drama, The Uncanny Counter, revealed to have replaced its writer with just four remaining episodes before the show’s end.
Per SpoTV News, the writer of the Sat-Sun drama, Yeo Ji Na, has recently dropped out of the production.
The departure’s reason is revealed to be the disagreement over the story in the latter half. Although Yeo Ji Na wrote the 12th episode of the show, the production’s plans for developing the next episode are different from her opinion.
Furthermore, one representative from OCN shared that both she and the production team mutually agreed to drop out.
This is because Yeo Ji Na had different plans for the second half of the show.
The drama’s special episode
The main and supporting actors of the drama will appear for the special episode. This includes Jo Byung Gyu, Yoo Jun Sang, Kim Se Jeong, and Yeom Hye Ran.
As the episode will be produced in an entertainment show, which is not the usual highlight clips or comments by actors, viewers’ expectations are rising.
The former Running Man producer, Jung Chul Min, will be helming the Uncanny Counter‘s special episode. And on February 7, it will be broadcasted live on tvN and OCN.
Moreover, the drama made headlines earlier for becoming the first OCN drama to hit the double-digit ratings.
As shared by Nielsen Korea, The Uncanny Counter‘s latest episode garnered 10.581% viewership nationwide.
The said special episode is a reward for all the love the drama received over the past two months.
