Apple likes to hold its events on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which gives us Oct. 6, 7, 13, and 14. However, rumors suggest for the second week, so the best guests are the 13th and 14th.
We already know that Apple held a September virtual event. However, those expecting the iPhone 12 were disappointed.
Instead, the event focused on the new Apple Watch 6, Watch SE, and iPads. The announcement date for the iPhone 12 series remains up in the air.
One thing we are sure of is that the production, as well as its release date, are delayed. Our best guess, however, as to when Apple will unveil its new smartphone family is either Oct. 13 or 14.
Why October 13 or 14?
Apple has not released any official information yet. The company also didn’t respond to a request for comment. What we do know is that the new iPhone flagship was delayed “a few weeks” from its usual September timeline.
Even before the company confirmed this back in July, people already knew the COVID-19 outbreak forced suppliers in China to shut down. The pandemic not only affected Apple’s inventory in September, but it will affect sales, too.
Apple’s iPhone events usually occur in mid-September, after Labor Day. Since it is already confirmed that the new flagships will be delayed, we can say that the release will be in mid-October instead.
As reported by CNET, Apple likes to hold its events on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. That gives us October dates 6, 7, 13, and 14. If we are looking for the mid or 2nd week of the month, the event may be on the 13th or 14th.
Again, this is just an educated guess. Apple has said nothing so far. We just based our judgment on rumors and leaks circling the Internet.

Apple iPhone 12 lineup
So when Oct. 13 or 14 rolls around, expect to see Apple’s newest flagship phones. Based on rumors, we can anticipate the following variants: 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, and a whopping 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
There’s speculation that the four models could get a staggered release with the 5.4-inch Mini and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 launching in October. Meanwhile, the 6.1-inch Pro and 6.7-inch Pro Max follow somewhere in November.
The most recent report predicts that the iPhone 12 series will be $100 more expensive than the iPhone 11. The reason for this higher price is because the lineup will be all 5G enabled.
That means, rather than the starting price of $699 for the base model, we can expect the most affordable iPhone 12 to be worth $799. In that case, the Mini variant, which is expected to be the cheapest, will be around $750 to $850 in price.
