Seunghee and Binnie of Oh My Girl recently participated in a Marie Claire magazine photoshoot and interview.
In the interview, Oh My Girl members were asked about their rising popularity. Seunghee shared that Queendom was a turning point for them. If they did not go on that show, they would not have shown their talent and music.
The turning point
They tried different concepts in the past, but they did not have a big stage to perform. Through the setting of Queendom, they were able to show what they could do confidently.
The interviewer also asked them what they thought about the most decisive moment in their career as Oh My Girl.
Binnie replied that from the outside, it looks like Queendom. From the internal perspective, they had a year-long hiatus after the promotion of Coloring Book.

Change for the better
The members changed and matured more in the process during the hiatus, both internally and externally.
Oh My Girl got their first win in the Secret Garden music show after their debut. Moreover, the group’s recent song titled Nonstop had their first No. 1 on MelOn’s music chart.
Seunghee commented that she heard all of the groups taken number one, and they might have taken the longest. Seunghee felt that they held on well.
Endurance is the key
She even told herself that the one who holds on wins. There were many times when they wondered how long. Their efforts were not in vain until the time came that the fans finally recognized their endurance.
Moreover, Oh My Girl is ranked in The Korean Business Research Institute brand reputation rankings for girl groups.
The group rose to second place in the rankings. They got a total of 4,401,065 of the brand reputation index, and BLACKPINK got first place with a 6,186,611 brand reputation index.
