Prominent cryptocurrency project OmiseGO has taken the drastic step of removing staff profiles from its website.
In a statement on its Twitter page, its said “this was done for safety and security concerns.”
There are unconfirmed reports the team has received serious death threats.
Like most cryptocurrencies, OmiseGO has seen the value of its OMG token drop dramatically since its January highs.
It is currently trading for around US$3.09 on CoinMarketCap, with the price around 11% down in the past 24 hours.
Hi folks! You might have noticed that our team page was taken down from the website. This was done due to staff safety & security concerns. It will of course be back up when the time is right & with new faces 🙂 All comms channels remain open. Hope to connect with you there!
