East Blue, Alabasta, and Warship Island saga of One Piece recently dropped on the streaming platform Netflix.
One Piece is one of the most prominent anime franchises of all time. It has proved its success after becoming the highest-selling manga with over 462 million copies sold. It even outsold famous mangas like Dragon Ball, Golgo 13, and Naruto.

The animated series of One Piece generated over 1.9 million. It was aired on international online video platforms. As a result, One Piece became the most popular anime of this era.
It even became the fourteenth most popular TV show in the world in 2016, as per Business Insider. Furthermore, One Piece’s fictional franchise generated over $21 billion in revenue.
One Piece: East Blue, Alabasta, and Warship Island drops on Netflix
Due to One Piece’s worldwide eminence, the streaming giant Netflix has decided to add the series to its streaming library. The first two sagas of the series, East Blue and Alabasta, as well as Warship Island filler arc, was available for stream on Netflix since June 12. Netflix confirmed the news on Twitter, stating:
“Squeezing the first two arcs of One Piece into sixty seconds stretched our editors to the breaking point, but the results are worth it. The East Blue and Alabasta sagas coming soon to Netflix. @ToeiAnimation”
Toei Animation further revealed that the streaming platform received a total of 130 episodes. It includes the East Blue saga with 54 episodes, Alabasta saga with 69 episodes, as well as the filler arc Warship Island with 7 episodes.

Netflix produces One Piece live-action series
Netflix also decided to help One Piece conquer live-action. The streaming giant has previously announced that they will produce a live-action version of the series.
The upcoming live-action installment will have 10 episodes. It will be developed under the eye of creator Eiichiro Oda. In addition, Netflix took to Twitter to reveal the surprise and stated:
“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: A One Piece live action is in the works.”
The live-action series was originally slated to start filming in August. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, it will now commence at a later date. However, Netflix has yet to announce the official release date of the upcoming live-action series.
