There have been reports online suggesting that One Piece is eyeing a comeback on June 28 with the release of episode 930.

Japan has been very strict in implementing its COVID-19 regulations following the announcement of its State of Emergency.  Because of this, numerous manga and anime series went on a hiatus. One of the titles that have experienced a similar fate was Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece.

One Piece anime series returns

One Piece has been on a break for almost two months now.  However, since some parts of Japan have already lifted quarantine directives, it appears that the anime series will return very soon.

One Piece is reportedly eyeing a comeback on June 28 with the release of episode 930. Yonkuo Productions, a well-known insider, revealed the rumored release date on Twitter. Consequently, Soulstorm seemingly supported the speculations with its recent tweet.

Alongside a One Piece poster, the user wrote:

As of press time, Shueisha, TV Tokyo, or Toei Animation has not yet confirmed the rumors. The team behind the anime series has been very tight-lipped ever since its hiatus began about two months ago. With this at hand, these reports must be taken with a grain of salt in mind.

Episode 929 recap

Before One Piece went on a break, the series released episode 929, entitled The Bond Between Prisoners – Luffy and Old Man Hyo. The installment was set in three different locations where distinct scenes were tackled.

In the Ringo region, Kanjuro met up with Shinobu’s group at the Northern Cemetery. Meanwhile, in Ebisu Town, Law’s group learned from a newspaper that a funeral for Komurasaki will be held.

Moreover, they discovered that Kid escaped from Udon prison, the place where Chopper’s group and Big Mom are currently traveling to. In Udon prison, Hyogoro tried to make good use of the meal tickets that Luffy generously gave him. However, Daifugo approached and tormented the elderly man.
