OnePlus has officially confirmed vital information about its upcoming device, the OnePlus 8T. It involves the exciting change of battery and charging features for the OnePlus fans.
Much like the brand’s promotion for the OnePlus Nord, OnePlus is following a similar marketing strategy for its next flagship device, the OnePlus 8T.
After disclosing that OnePlus 8T is the first phone from the brand with a 120Hz refresh display rate, critics seem to conclude that the said device hails many firsts for its kind.
According to the video uploaded by OnePlus’ official YouTube channel, the OnePlus 8T supports 65W fast charging, named as the 65W Warp Charge.
The new technology
OnePlus is known for its devices’ impressive charging speeds offering. Before the announcement of OnePlus Nord, technology tipsters were worried that the firm might drop the Nord’s fast charging feature, but the case did not turn outright.
The brand has even branded its community as the ed Cable Club, referring to the distinctively different colors of cables of its official accessories.
With so much onus on the red cables to make the OnePlus a hit, it was apparent that they were also going to follow into the steps of their sister companies from BBK Electronics in offering a 65W fast charging feature.
According to a report by Android Central, the recently launched Oppo Find X2 Pro boasted a charging speed of 65W, which could take the phone from 0% to 100% in just 38 minutes. Users can expect a similar pace from OnePlus 8T as well.
OnePlus, like its other Chinese counterparts, achieved the matter by splitting the batteries inside the phone into halves. Moreover, the new feature helps to reduce heating and increases speed.
Leaks and rumors find that the said phone will have 12 sensors dedicated to recording its temperature while charging so that the phone can dismiss the charging if the temperature rises. The OnePlus 8T comes with a 4,500 mAh battery, as per PC Mag.
OnePlus 8T: Launch
The brand will unveil the OnePlus 8T on October 14 at 10 AM ET. The newest device will feature a 6.55-inch 120Hz fluid display and a flagship processor from Qualcomm.
Furthermore, a handful of rumors surfaced online that the brand may release wireless charging for OnePlus 8T, which may hinder the 8T Pro launch. However, these are all rumors which should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The company will be releasing more details of the phone before its launch, but with one highlighted specification at a time.
