The latest update of the OnePlus Nord is already its fourth since its official unveiling on July 21.
OnePlus is living up to expectations as one of the industry’s powerhouses in terms of seeding key software updates. And with the OnePlus Nord, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is even more reliable than ever.
OxygenOS 10.5.4
Users of the OnePlus Nord have begun receiving a new update. The fresh OxygenOS update, with the build number 10.5.4, brings an array of improvements to the table, alongside fixes on the device’s camera and display.
For its “System,” OnePlus has improved the launch speed of the phone’s Gallery app. It has also beefed up the device’s overall display experience and fixed the issue of not being able to join Red Cable Club (IN only). Likewise, the firm also put a fix on the issue of pausing background music right when the front camera is launched.
In the camera department, OnePlus also improved the Nord’s quality on video calls. A refinement on the handset’s display color accuracy and white balance for low-light selfies has also been seeded. Meanwhile, the rear setup’s macro camera also received a boost, one that centers on vibrancy and color accuracy.
Finally, the OxygenOS 10.5.4 has also fixed the issue of syncing Notes for the phone’s Indian counterpart.
Currently, the OxygenOS 10.5.4 update is being pushed in batches. It only weighs 106MB for the global variant and 95.3 for the Indian version.
OnePlus Nord: A solid mid-range smartphone, through and through
OnePlus’s first mid-range offering in its portfolio, the Nord, didn’t disappoint when it was finally launched.
It features a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a pill-shaped cutout, which houses 32-megapixel + 8MP sensors. The phone’s display also has a high 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Nord also packs a quadruple-camera setup on its rear, front-lined by a 48MP wide sensor. It also has 8MP ultrawide, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro cameras.
The OnePlus Nord also sports solid, mid-range internals. There is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chip, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and a 4,115mAh battery, with support for 30W fast wired charging.
Other key features of the OnePlus Nord include an in-display fingerprint reader, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C.
The OnePlus Nord, which was announced on July 21, is touted as the direct rival of the new iPhone SE and the Google Pixel 4a.
