The brand-new Oppo A93 has been made available earlier than the expected October 6 release date in Vietnam.
Technology tipsters anticipated the launch of the Oppo A93 while comparing it to the newly launched Oppo F17 Pro and Reno4 Lite.
Oppo is known to launch smartphones with different naming schemes in specific regions. And as anticipated, the launching of the Oppo A93 in Vietnam bears an uncanny resemblance to the Oppo F17 Pro, which was launched in India a few weeks ago.
The Oppo A93 has a 6.43-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a screen that can go up to 800 nits in terms of brightness. Unfortunately, the Oppo A93 only comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.67%.
As for the cameras, the rear panel has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor supported by an ultra-wide lens and two monochrome sensors.
The front cameras are in a pill-shaped notch in the top-left corner of the display. Additionally, the phone houses a primary camera coupled with a 2MP depth sensor.
MediaTek Helio P95 powers the new Oppo phone
However, the thing that differs Oppo A93 from the Oppo F17 Pro launched in India is the battery department. The battery is reduced from 4,015 mAh in the F17 Pro to 4,000 mAh in the A93.
What’s the difference?
The big difference comes in the form of charging technology. The F17 Pro comes with a 30W fast charging power, whereas the A93 only comes with the standard 18W.
However, this is not the first time companies have delivered better battery technology for Indian devices than their global counterparts. POCO X3 NFC has a considerable 16% drop in battery capacity as compared to its Indian counterpart.
Lastly, it weighs 164g, thanks to its plastic body. It comes in two colors, Black and Magical White, as per Gizmo China.
Oppo A93: Pricing and availability
The phone was launched in Vietnam for VND 7,490,000 (USD 324) and is now available for purchasing.
The phone is supposed to launch in Malaysia on October 6 as well but was halted for an unspecified reason. On the other hand, the global market launch is still unknown.
