The recently launched Oppo F17 Pro in the Indian Market might make its way over to the Global market as the Oppo A93, and here’s why we are excited.
Chinese electronics giant Oppo revealed its successor F17 Pro in the F series of smartphones in the first week of September this year and the renowned tipster Evan Blass claims that the phone will come in the Global market as the Oppo A93.

Oppo F17 Pro Specifications
The Oppo F17 Pro runs on ColorOS 7.2, Oppo’s very own skin over Android 10. The phone comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Inside, the Oppo F17 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 chip, coupled with 8GB RAM. In India, there was only a single model launched with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM configuration.
The phone packs a 4,015 mAh battery that also supports 30W VOOC charging, Oppo’s fast charging solution. The company claims a full charge in 53 minutes and the ability to give 10 hours of on-screen time on a single full charge.
The phone comes with a matte finish on a plastic back and was launched in three color variants in India. Customers could choose from Magic Blue, Matte Black, and Metallic White.
Oppo F17 Pro Optics
The phone comes with a total of six cameras — four of them constituting the rear camera array, and two of them forming the pill-shaped punch hole on the top left corner.
The primary 48-megapixel sensor is supported by an ultra-wide and two monochrome lenses on the back while the front 16-megapixel sensor is supported with a depth sensor and AI beautification 2.0.
Oppo F17 Pro against the competition
The specifications of the Oppo F17 Pro might remind you of the OnePlus Nord, and you aren’t wrong. Except for a little difference in the numbers and a few basic differences like the software skin, one could say that the Oppo F17 Pro is the same as the much-hyped OnePlus Nord.
But, since the Oppo F17 Pro was launched in India, there is no concrete proof in terms of sales that can assure that the Oppo F17 Pro is a worthy competitor.
Oppo F17 Pro Price & Availability
The Oppo F17 Pro launched in India at a price of Rs. 22,990, which converts to about 313 USD. If launched at such an aggressive price, the Oppo F17 Pro could give competition to not just the OnePlus Nord, but the Google Pixel 4a as well as the iPhone SE 2020.

However, there is no confirmed date for the global market launch of the Oppo A93. So, the customers might have to wait for a little if they are planning to go for the OppoA93.
