OutDaughtered just aired its last episode for season 7. Fans are surprised for the abrupt end though and are now wondering for the show’s future.
TLC reality series OutDaughtered closed the month of June with their final episode for season 7. However, fans did not expect it to end with just four episodes.
Despite revealing to the fans that production has been shut down, some were still shocked and confused with the sudden season finale.
“Season finale? There were only 3 or 4 episodes,” wrote one confused netizen on a post from the show’s official Instagram account.
“Is it me or was this season short or just [go] by really fast?” someone else asked.

Self-shot episode
Many are clearly interested in following the daily life of Danielle and Adam Busby and their six daughters. But season 7 had to be cut short due to health safety reasons.
They started filming for the latest season earlier this year. However, come mid-March, they had to halt production due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was not possible anymore to have TLC’s crew follow the family of eight and document their lives.
“Unfortunately we can’t exactly have a camera crew following us around and going places right now,” Adam explained to a fan in an Instagram update back in April. “This COVID-19 pandemic has set us back with being able to make any new episodes.”
The Busby parents still managed to do what they can just to bring one more episode for the fans. They shot some footage for the season finale and it featured their “new normal” life inside their home.
Season finale
The last episode of season 7 was packed with fun activities and homeschooling. They also had to deal with canceled party plans because Blayke’s 9th birthday and their all-girl quintuplets’ 5th birthday coincided with the crisis.
Danielle had to sit down with Blayke and the quints Ava, Olivia, Riley, Parker and Hazel to explain the situation.

“I know this isn’t how we envisioned celebrating our birthday, but I promise we’ll do something when we’re allowed to go outside and have a party and have a bunch of people over,” Danielle said. “Okay? But for now, we’ve got cupcakes and ice cream!”
The Busby couple just did their best to celebrate the girls’ special day at home.
Season 8 plans
As of the moment, there is no word yet about the future of the reality series. TLC will still have to make an announcement about season 8.
Fans will just have to wait until OutDaughtered can return to filming new episodes. Should it resume this year, new episodes may be available before 2020 ends.
