No matter how much divisive the Outriders game has turned out to be, and it’s also making a lot of buzz due to its easter eggs.
Although smartly hid it in the game, some players managed to find the big Dragon Age easter egg in Outriders.
People Can Fly, and Square Enix’s title made its debut last week on the eve of April Fools’ Day.
‘Outriders’ meets ‘Dragon Age’ via Alistair and Cullen!
If you remember Alistair and Cullen from the Dragon Age games, you can easily find the new easter egg in Outriders.
A character in the current release from People Can Fly pays homage to a pair of Templars. They were in BioWare’s iconic Dragon Age titles.
This easter egg was a clever and great way from the makers of Outriders.
Can find it in the communal area of the Deadrock Pass zone. The players can meet a character named Alastair Cullen during the “Free Market” side quest.
His name is a direct reference to Dragon Age‘s Alistair and Cullen. However, there’s something more than what meets the eye.
In BioWare’s games, there was also a religious organization called The Chantry. It used a substance named Lyrium as a way of controlling Templar order.
Now looking at Outriders‘ Alastair Cullen, then in the game, he says that he’s forced to ingest a toxic substance. It keeps him and others like him oblivious to their starving.
Thus, it seems very clear that the developers very intelligently induced a good easter egg while reviving Dragon Age memories for many fans.
