‘Outriders’ will expand into a vast series!
Square Enix recently announced that the looter shooter had exceeded all expectations so far.
During the first month on the market, Outriders has attracted over 3.5 million unique players.
However, this figure from the publisher didn’t exactly reveal the number of sales. The confidence in the new IP shown by the team is enough to point towards a significant extension in the future.
Jon Brooke, co-head of the studio at Square Enix, said in a press release that they are “grateful for the community’s support and feedback.”
“We also look forward to expanding on Outriders in the future.”
The average playtime for the game, at the moment, is said to be around 30 hours within the user base. Also, the engagement regarding cooperative play has been very high.
One primary reason behind such a tremendous performance might be the Xbox Game Pass. The title came to the service on the day of its launch itself.
Another good thing is that the developing team has also fixed many major bugs and issues. During the release, they were irritating the players a lot.
Some new content is expected to be revealed next month because there’s also the upcoming E3 2021 event!
