Although Overwatch 2 is far away from its official launch, there are many great things to get excited about when it eventually arrives.
Activision Blizzard’s next will indeed aspire to outperform the success of its predecessor. And players’ expectations, no doubt, are huge from Overwatch 2 at the moment.
In this article, you will get answers to many of your big questions about the sequel to 2015’s blockbuster title.
‘Overwatch 2’: Everything you need to know
Firstly, when it comes to the content itself, then so far, there have been two trailers for Overwatch 2. While one announced its story, the other showed early gameplay, as you can see above.
The PvP gameplay trailer also provided details on the latest Push Mode; it works similar to the Escort Mode. One team moves from a point to another with a payload. And the opposing team tries to stop it from achieving the goal.
However, what’s different in Push Mode is that there’s a robot to carry the payload for you, the player. This way, there will be less burden on your entire team. Competitive and Quickplay will feature the mode.
No other details are confirmed about this mode in terms of what else it will offer.
There are also player customizations in Hero Missions. They will extend the main storyline of Overwatch 2 in a lot of ways.
On the side of Maps, there are several new additions as well. At the moment, six maps are almost confirmed, with more to come upon the official release.
The six maps, currently known, will be set in Toronto, Gothenburg, Monte Carlo, Rome, New York City, and Rio De Janerio.
Speaking of new characters, then Echo is expected to make her debut. Another hero, Sojourn, will also join the game’s missions later.
However, in terms of loot boxes, the upcoming title won’t have the same pattern as the original game.
New video games coming soon
While the fans are waiting for Overwatch 2, there are already other heavyweights set to arrive this year.
After Hitman 3 and Valheim, the hopes are high when it comes to vast names of 2021.
Speaking of highly-anticipated titles, the coming months will reveal the likes of Resident Evil Village and Far Cry 6. A new COD entry, God of War: Ragnarok, and Halo Infinite are also among the awaited releases.
But that’s not it!
The line-up gets extended further with games like Deathloop, Monster Hunter Rise, Back 4 Blood, and STALKER 2. Gotham Knights, Returnal, Psychonauts 2, GhostWire: Tokyo, Balan Wonderworld, and Stray are other crucial launches.
Coming back to Overwatch 2, then it’s expected to arrive at some point in 2022.
