It’s official, Park Seo Joon will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Park Seo Joon’s agency has officially confirmed that he would be in a new Marvel Studios film, months after it was originally rumored that he would be in The Marvels, the planned sequel to Captain Marvel.
On August 3, Awesome ENT stated that the actor had gone out of Korea that day to film a Marvel feature, but they refused to offer any further information or confirm the film’s title.

The agency added, “We thank the numerous individuals who have expressed interest and support for Park Seo Joon as he takes on this new adventure. We understand that many people are eager about the title of the film in which he will star, his role, the filming location, and his filming schedule, but we want to release the specifics of the film at a later date.”
The film, directed by Nia DaCosta, is expected to begin production this year and be released in 2023.
Following Soo-hyun, as Claudia Kim, in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Korean American Ma Dong-seok, or Don Lee, in Eternals, Park will be the third actor of Korean ancestry to appear in a Marvel film.
The 32-year-old Korean actor has built out a successful acting career in popular TV shows such as “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” (2018) and “Itaewon Class” (2020). He also appeared in the Oscar-winning dark comedy “Parasite” in a cameo role (2019).
