Paytm has launched its mini app store in India. Users can use Paytm’s listed applications without any additional download.
After a massive demand of Indian entrepreneurs for alternative App Store, Paytm has launched its mini-app store. Paytm is one of the most extensive digital payment applications in India. When Google increased its cut on in-app purchases; This impacted the developers severely. Thus, the developers are asking for a new app store.
Paytm links progressive web apps (PWAs) that are light apps that can run within a web browser. Also, these types of apps do not require any installation. So, Paytm will not give any native apps and developer tools.
What is Paytm?
Paytm is an Indian E-Commerce payment system and financial technology company. The headquarter of Paytm is situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Paytm was founded in August 2010, and one97 communication Ltd owns it.
The services provided by Paytm are payment systems, digital wallets, mobile payments, banking, and online shopping. Also, the Products of Paytm are Paytm Mall, Paytm payments Bank, Paytm money, Gamepad, and Paytm smart retail.

Due to the enormous demand of entrepreneurs for a national app store, Paytm has launched its mini-app store. According to Paytm, the mini-app store is designed to help small developers and businesses in India.
Apart from this, Paytm does not provide native apps and developer tools; it only offers progressive web apps (PWAs) and can run in a web browser. This type of application doesn’t require any installation on the device.

Listed application in the mini-app store
So far, Paytm has added a few applications to the mini-app store. Along with this, Paytm commented that they are planning to list 300 services in the upcoming days. Paytm also said that the listing of the application would be free in Paytm.
Paytm has added some popular applications like Ola cabs, Domino’s Pizza, Rapido, Spencer’s, Decathlon, Netmeds, 1mg, AQI monitor, EMI calculator, MojoPizza, horoscope, speed test, unit converter, and many more.
The company agreed that it would not charge any commission on payments through Paytm wallet, Paytm payments Bank, UPI, debit card of Rupay card. The Com will charge a two percent tax along with eighteen percent GST on other payment methods.
The other payment methods can be credit card, net banking, and many more. To access the Paytm mini app store, the user has to open the Paytm app. Then the user has to click on show more and go to the mini-app store.
