New Genesis was a graphical remake for the game, considering the original PSO2 came out in 2012. It also added a different story and setting to the original title and allowed for limited migration.
Since its minor announcement, no other news came out of Sega. PSO2 also integrated well after opening itself to Western players. Now, Sega is ready to show more, announcing a release date for the summer.
“We’re excited to confirm that PSO2 NEW GENESIS will be launching this June,” said the tweet. “This and so much more was confirmed as part of our ‘Prologue 3’ livestream early this morning. Missed it? The stream is available to view now on our YouTube channel!”
