Phineas and Ferb may be a cartoon show but it’s definitely not just for kids. In fact, Disney+ is releasing a new movie out of it and the creators are hoping it’s going to be loved by all ages.
It’s not a secret that Phineas and Ferb is coming back to the small screen. Fans who loved the show has Disney+ to thank for after ordering a new movie based on the series.
Just recently, the subscription video-on-demand streaming service released a new promo featuring the programs they have lined up for release throughout the summer.
Included in the brief video is the official first look of the new Phineas and Ferb movie. Not much is shown but it still made avid fans excited for its release.
What are the details?
The super-short teaser of the upcoming movie was posted on the Twitter account of Disney TV Animation News.

Apparently, the movie is called Phineas & Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe. There is no release date announcement though, which means fans will have to watch out for updates soon.
What is the movie about?
There is so much to explore with the animated musical comedy television series. So when Disney announced the second movie in the franchise, fans were quick to find out what the storyline will be.
It’s revealed that the new movie is going to be another rescue mission. The official description says that Phineas & Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe will pick up five years after summer ended.
The brothers will be embarking on a journey across the galaxy to rescue their sister Candace, who has been abducted by aliens.
Creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh return to the project as executive producers. Much of the casts from the show are also back to reprise their roles.
Included in the list are Ashley Tisdale as Candace, Vincent Martella as Phineas, Caroline Rhea as Linda, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, Alyson Stoner as Isabella and Maulik Pancholy as Baljeet among others.
Povenmire and Marsh will also reprise their roles as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram. The only noted change in the voice cast is for the character Ferb who will now be voiced by David Errigo Jr.
Fans will have to stay tuned to find out when the Phineas and Ferb movie will come out on Disney+.
