PlayStation 4 is one of the best gaming consoles ever made in the gaming industry. It simply revolutionized the way people play games and the way people get entertainment. This console has sold almost 106 million units worldwide, which is a massive feat to achieve.

Many people thought Sony might gradually stop software updates to PS4 due to the arrival of PS5. But, on the contrary, Sony has given a new software update, version 8.00.
The changes include linking party and messages together in the console and adding a handy ‘mute every microphone’ option. Now, players cannot form communities or private events. Communities active at present will not be taken down.
Players are advised on social media not to download the update, but this is not the case for many. People can use their PS4 only if they sign in to their PlayStation network. But if they do not, they cannot use PS4’s necessary features. So, to play their games regularly, they have no choice other than to install the update. PS4 had some issues with its 7.5 updates in April 2020 but solved it. Sony might have noticed the issues with this update. Many people believe that Sony is already in work to solve the issue and to issue a patch.
