The PlayStation 5 is set to launch next month, and gamers are already excited for the next generation. For those who are lucky enough, Sony just launched a special event that lets users try out the console.
The launch of the PlayStation 5 is highly anticipated. In fact, the developer is finding it hard to keep track of the pre-orders because of its popularity. A few lucky gamers journalists from 4Gamer and Dengeki got their hands on the game last Sunday. They’ve shared their opinions with the console, and the results are good so far.
Early hands-on experience
Those in attendance at the hands-on event were able to play games like Astro’s Playroom, Godfall, and Devil May Cry V Special Edition. Astro’s Playroom was an excellent choice on the part of Sony as they were able to showcase the capabilities of the DualSense controllers through it. However, all eyes were on something else.
Both 4Gamer and Dengeki participants praised the quietness of the fans in the console. In fact, they were more impressed by it rather than the also amazing load times. Due to the size of the console, many players commented that the console could be loud.
This was one of the major issues with the PlayStation 4 Pro. It’s surprising that Sony was able to quiet down the console this time around.
Surprisingly cool
Aside from the quiet fans, the attendants were also impressed with the temperatures of the PlayStation 5. Contrary to what many had expected, the console wasn’t prone to giving off hot air through the fans. This is good for the long-term health of the console, as it means that it will be more durable and less prone to overheating.
Aside from the performance of the console, it seems like Sony has also considered the durability and capabilities of the device. These changes will be great for the console’s lifespan. For now, it doesn’t feel like the console will be having issues running even the most demanding games.
That being said, it seems like all players have to worry about for now is if the console will have software issues at launch.
The PlayStation 5 launches on Nov. 12 in the US and Nov. 19 elsewhere. The console will be the next generation of gaming along with the Xbox Series X. Based on the current reviews, the PlayStation 5 is an amazing hardware that people should definitely give a try.
