Sony is investing more “exclusives” for PlayStation 5, according to CEO Jim Ryan.
Gamers, especially users of PlayStation 5, are celebrating these past few days on various social media platforms. This comes after Sony’s CEO Jim Ryan recently released a surprising teaser before his audience.
Comic Book reported that he shared some information about the company’s latest movements for PS5. In one of his latest interviews, he clarified that the public should not take Sony’s quietness as “idle hands.”
About Sony’s investments in games for PlayStation 5
Speaking to Nikkei on Thursday, Jim Ryan said that Sony has been “quietly but steadily investing in high-quality games” for PlayStation 5. He assured the public that the PS5 generation “will have more dedicated software than ever before.”
Reports noted that the CEO did not specifically mention anything about exclusives. But, many believe that he meant the same thing when he said “dedicated software” in this context.
Ryan continued that the company “have repeatedly engaged in mergers and acquisitions,” as well. He also emphasized the Insomniac Games in the United States, adding that they will not rule out this option in the future.
Gamers are happy and excited
While details remain scarce, gamers immediately expressed their excitement on social media platforms. The same publication incorporated some posts on Twitter, showing the reactions of some netizens about Jim Ryan’s teaser.
It appears that many individuals are already looking forward to seeing and witnessing these exclusive games for PlayStation 5. While waiting for more details, though, reports reiterated that PlayStation Studios are now “getting ready” to drop several other titles.
Some of these include Returnal, God of War Ragnarok, Ratchet & Clank, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, and Ghostwire Tokyo. Although they are not all PS5 exclusives, they are, reportedly, great materials to enjoy while waiting for further releases.
PlayStation Plus free games this May
In other related news, PlayStation Plus subscribers are now gearing up for the upcoming free games next month. The Daily Express reported that Sony will likely drop the titles, which are free for PlayStation 4 and 5, on April 28. In following the “tradition,” subscribers may download the games in less than a week, no later than May 4.
The publication continued that PS Plus subscribers have already received “treats” these past few months. These include Days Gone, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Oddworld Soulstorm, and Destruction All-Stars.
While no one knows yet what games will be available for free for PlayStation 5, some individuals already have their own predictions. The same outlet noted that most of them are sharing their thoughts on the matter on Reddit.
