PlayStation just launched its event sale titled “Games of a Generation.” An array of PS4 titles are up from markdowns, and headlining the event is Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Tsushima was a wild hit from game dev Sucker Punch. The decision to choose the title to headline the PS4 sale event is a smart PR move from PlayStation.
The game acquired record-breaking numbers of copies sold last July when it launched. Micky News previously reported the game had 2.4 million units sold in a span of three days.
It made history when it was sold at full price, imagine the number of eager players bagging the game at only US$44.99. The game is originally retailed at $59.99.
What is the Games of a Generation?
The launch of PlayStation 5 is just around the corner. However, it doesn’t mean that PS4 will immediately go obsolete. In fact, with all the hype surrounding the next-gen console, it may take so many others until 2021 to get a hold of a PS5.
Others might want to wait a while until they further exhausted all the gaming experiences that the current-gen console can offer.
This leads us to PlayStation’s event sale. GameRant reports that Sony is giving PS4 owners the chance to experience the “absolute best PlayStation games of this generation for a lower price.”
Which is why they’ve listed down over 80 games, including Ghost of Tsushima and its Digital Deluxe Edition, for their promotion. This is the chance to play the greatest titles for the PS4, before deciding to hop on to PS5 hype.
The promotion will go live on September 30 and will end on October 14 at 23.59 p.m. local time.
