The Poco F2 Pro directly succeeds the Pocophone F1, which was launched in August 2018.
Xiaomi has finally launched the Poco F2 Pro, the successor of the hugely popular Pocophone F1. Unveiled in August 2018, the phone was regarded as the real “flagship-killer,” which of course, propelled the Chinese tech giant to further fame.
True blue flagship
In 2020, the Poco F2 Pro is ever fitting. Users are confirmed to experience a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 865 chipset from Qualcomm. Additionally, the hardware is equipped with graphite, graphene, and vapor chamber cooling, which should delight every modern gamer out there.
The Poco F2 Pro also boasts an up to LPDDR5 RAM, and up to UFS 3.1 storage. As it is, it is important to note that the phone’s base model is packing a slower LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. This is the same offering the Redmi K30 Pro has.
64MP-led quad-cam setup
It is also in the display department in which the successor of the Pocophone F1 is outpacing some of its rivals. The phone features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The phone’s screen, which is HDR10+-compliant, also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and 500 nits of typical brightness.
And then, of course, the elephant of the room: The Poco F2 Pro sports a motorized pop-up selfie module, which houses the phone’s 20MP front-facing snapper. This inclusion allows the phone’s display to offer a complete bezel-less experience.
Around the back, the Poco F2 Pro features a quadruple-camera setup that is housed in a circular camera module. The system comprises a 64MP wide sensor, a 5MP telephoto/macro camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The setup also comes with dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama.
Miscellaneous features
Other key features of the device include an optical, in-display fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C.
The phone also comes with Z-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback, an IR blaster, and IP53 splash resistance.
The Poco F2 Pro works on a massive 4,700mAh battery, with 30W fast wired charging. It ships with MIUI 11, based on the latest Android 10.0.
POCO’s latest flagship carries a price tag of EUR 499 for the 6GB/128GB variant, while the 8GB/256GB option is priced at EUR 599. The global availability of the device already commenced, with more international partners slated to announce their respective deals soon.
