Here are all the dates and details of the upcoming Pokemon Go Spotlight Hours for the whole month of May.
Pokemon Go players will not be able to go to the outside world to participate in events for the coming days because of quarantine orders and to observe social distancing. However, this doesn’t mean that the Pokemon Go community won’t be busy during these challenging days.
Niantic, has made some awesome temporary workarounds to the game to make it easier for players to still enjoy the game even if they’re just home. In addition to the huge Throwback event happening this month, players will also have an amazing set of Spotlight Hours.

How to prepare for the event
Players who plan to catch the featured Pokemon will need to begin stocking useful items before the Spotlight Hour begins.
Players will need to prepare Pokeballs and Pinap Berries in order to capture and evolve it. In addition, players should also stock on Ultra Balls and Razz Berries if ever some rare monsters show up. Lastly, players should ensure they have enough space inside their Storage box for all the Pokemon they need to catch.
Research Breakthrough event
In addition to the events for May, Shinx, the Flash Pokemon, will also be available during the Research Breakthrough event.
Starting May 1, 2020 to June 1, 2020, players will have a higher chance of encountering this Pokemon. Catching it will also give players bonus Shinx candies.
Team Go Rocket Special Research event update
Team Go Rocket event has been quiet for the past few weeks. According to Niantic, the event, which is supposed to run from May to September, has been cancelled.
Players hope this will be the last time they see Team Go Rocket inside Pokemon Go. However, knowing the competence of these antiheroes, it seems this is not the case.
