‘Pokemon Sword and Shield’ DLC to get new details today

Since launching last year, players have most likely done all there is to be done in Pokemon Sword and Shield. If the game has been stuck on their shelves for quite a while, it might be the time to pick it up again as the first set of Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC is going to launch this month.

It seems like Nintendo is going to reveal new details about the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC tomorrow as a new Pokemon Direct will be streamed about it. According to a recent tweet, the Pokemon Direct will be at 10:00 PM JST. Here’s everything that could be revealed in the upcoming stream.

Release date

The first DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield is the Isle of Armor. While Nintendo has revealed a lot about the first expansion, it hasn’t announced a release date for it yet. However, it did note before that the Isle of Armor DLC will be launching sometime this June. It’s very likely that we’ll be getting the release date on the upcoming stream.

New details

It seems like the Isle of Armor DLC is going to have a ton of new content for players to get into. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the first Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC is going to give players access to a new region located off the coast of Galar.

The island will have all sorts of new challenges for players to complete. Moreover, there will be some returning Pokemon as well. Aside from some familiar faces, the DLC will also introduce a new Fighting-type legendary Pokemon called Kubfu. Kubfu can evolve into Urshifu, which has two variants.

New details on next DLC

The upcoming direct isn’t exactly focused on the first DLC alone. The Pokemon Direct will have details about the expansion pass for Pokemon Sword and Shield, so it’s likely that we’ll be getting more information about The Crown Tundra as well.

There’s a lot we’ve yet to know about The Crown Tundra aside from the Pokemon that it will bring, as well as that it will release sometime this year.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC is expected to add a lot of new things to the game, and hopefully, we get a glimpse of what those are later. Players can watch the stream at Nintendo’s official YouTube channel. We’re sure a countdown will be initiated before the stream begins.
