Game Freak is making access to Pokemon Sword & Shield’s Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta easy or difficult. But it depends on where you are currently in the world. Here’s how you can get these two legendary Pokemon in their unique coloration.
Getting the aforementioned glossy Pokemon is actually easier than the reputation of shinies may insinuate. In this particular instance, it does not boil down on luck with infinitesimal chance of actually ever encountering one. Instead, players from select regions around the world need only to present their copy of Pokemon Sword & Shield on a certain store to get a code. One that can be used for redemption in-game while online. But this is what makes the process to be a simple feat or a conundrum. Not everyone gets the same privilege, by factor of geography alone.
Select areas only
Getting both mythical Pokemon vary significantly on certain locations, however, as per Serebii. If you are from somewhere in the US or Canada, then you would need to make two trips to a nearby GameStop store. One, in order to get Shiny Zacian sometime between October 21st and November 4th. Another is to claim a code for Shiny Zamazenta beginning November 12th.
Elsewhere, getting the two unique codes is easier as they can be both be claimed at the same time. Some locations even not requiring a visit to a nearby store as they can be gathered online. Take the United Kingdom, for example.
Outside of North America, Europe, and Japan, some Asian countries are also launching a similar campaign. Worthy of note are the countries of Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, as well as Taiwan. Video game retailers of which playing major role in the distribution within the South East Asian region. Taiwan, on the other hand, employs 7-11 for the initiative.
Pokemon frenzy
The Pokemon franchise seems to be on a roll. Aside from this Pokemon Sword & Shield occasion, fans are also hyped for the upcoming release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shiny Pearl. Moreover, there’s also Pokemon Legends: Arceus that recently released a new trailer, showcasing a Hisuian version of Zorua and its evolution Zoroark. The video itself initially made mysterious and cryptic, with it being camera-style blurry and heavily dependent on audio cues. But, importantly, the hype for the latter also comes from its imminent early 2022 release on the Nintendo Switch.
