The time for speculations is finally over as Nintendo has officially confirmed that a Nintendo Direct is happening. This isn’t a full-on Direct as many would’ve believed, but there could still be some amazing titles in store.
The upcoming Nintendo Direct will is scheduled on July 20/7 AM PT. According to Nintendo, the direct will be 10-minutes, and it’s going to be all about their partner publishers and developers. All of the games at the direct will be focused on titles that have been announced already. Here the titles that fans want to see and what could be present as well.
Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3 is one of the most anticipated titles for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s under development by PlatinumGames. Since being announced at The Game Awards last 2017, we haven’t seen this title yet, and the upcoming direct could have some major announcements.
Bayonetta is a great hack and slashes RPG in the vein of Devil May Cry. The game stars the popular Bayonetta, a witch equipped with various forms of magic and guns in her heels.
On 7/20 we'll debut the first #NintendoDirect Mini: Partner Showcase, a series focused on titles from our development & publishing partners. We'll share a few updates on a small group of previously-announced #NintendoSwitch games. Check out the full video release at 7am PT. pic.twitter.com/GbEbxVL6fD

Bravely Default 2
Bravely Default 2 is an anticipated title exclusively for the Switch. We’ve seen a lot about this game already except for a release date. Square Enix’s RPG could be one of the last major releases for the Switch this year, and a release date might be announced at the upcoming direct.
It should be fitting that Bravely Default 2 gets a highlight at the Nintendo Direct, seeing that this game could be released later this year.
Bravely Default 2 is an RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy. The game features a robust class system, revamped turn-based combat, and a beautiful art style.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Hollow Knight was one of the best indies to release in recent memory. It’s definitely one of the best Metroidvanias out there. Team Cherry announced that a spin-off titled Silksong is in the works. It stars Hollow Knight’s mysterious partner, Hornet.
Fans are hoping that we get a release date at the event as Silksong is easily one of the most anticipated titles releasing soon.
The upcoming Nintendo Direct may only be 10-minutes long, but that doesn’t make it a bad one. Fans are still hoping for major announcements regarding these upcoming titles, and hopefully, Nintendo delivers an amazing stream. It’s one of the few gaming companies that have yet to have a major stream after the cancellation of E3.
