The wait is over for the future buyers of iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max. They can now pre-order the new Apple devices in the latest series.
According to Macrumors, the pre-orders for the iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max can now be placed. The official Apple Online Store website was initially down before the placement began.
“You’re… early,” read the online store website on the morning of Friday, Nov. 6.
“Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PDT. Enjoy the extra sleep.”
Interestingly, until 2019, the California tech giant used to start pre-orders from 12:01 am Pacific Time. But now it happens at 5:00 am Pacific Time. This also irked several users who said they have to wake till the morning to prevent missing out on their orders.
iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max specs compared
Both models are launching simultaneously in 30 nations and regions across the globe. Speaking of the configurations, then they are very different from each other.
On the one hand, the iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest 5G smartphone globally. Apple claimed this during the Hi-Speed event announcement last month. On the other hand, the 12 Pro Max is also the biggest and premium version in the latest line-up.
The smaller 5.4-inch variant comes in the aluminum finish while the flagship 6.7-inch sibling sports stainless steel design. Both the phones are powered by the current, new beast A14 Bionic chip by Apple. It’s the fastest processor so far from the company, built on a 5nm structure.
The Mini consists of dual lenses on the back, and the Pro Max has three cameras with a LiDAR scanner. It uses the depth of the surroundings to measure the exact distance and also to improve portrait shots.
Apart from this, the iPhone 12 series’s biggest model will also get a feature called Pro Raw for photography. It’s touted as the next level for professional photographers. The Dolby Vision HDR video support is also there in the Pro Max enabled at 60fps. However, on the Mini, it’s only enabled up to 30fps.
The 12 Mini starts at $699 while the Pro Max variant comes at $1099.
Last Apple event of 2020 on Tuesday
Meanwhile, the tech company is also preparing for its ultimate last event, One More Thing, coming this Tuesday. Some products were missing in October’s Hi, Speed session, but it seems like now they might get announced.
AirTags, Apple Silicon Macbook Pro line-up, and a new iOS 14.3 update are some rumored reveals.
The iPhone 12 series is surely going to impress the users once again. And the big announcements in the last virtual event this year will only add up to their joy.
