Most, if not all, fans are aware of how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been struggling with the endless media scrutiny. This, according to reports, is among the many reasons behind their bombshell exit that reportedly broke the hearts of the senior members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William.
Woman’s Day New Zealand, in its upcoming June 8, 2020 issue, claimed that Harry was able to convince Prince Charles to foot the Sussex family’s security bill since the controversial ‘Megxit.’
It can be recalled that the Canadian government and President Donald Trump refused to cover the costs of their security.
This, according to the tabloid, forced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to allocate $100 million a year for their protection.
An unnamed source told the publication:
“The rug was pulled from under them. They had to ask Charles to step in.”
Another informant claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not be able to pay the costs of the renovations in their former marital home if Prince Charles did not do something even if it is against Queen Elizabeth and Prince William’s will.
Daily Mail even reported that the Sussex pair already had cost the royal family $80 million in the two years since their wedding.
However, no enough pieces of evidence can prove that this report is accurate up to this writing.
Meanwhile, in the same report, the anonymous insider told the magazine that Queen Elizabeth and Prince William were disappointed with Prince Charles as they were hoping that the latter would be the very person to show the Sussex couple that their actions and expectations are “patently absurd.”
The informant furthered that these malicious reports claiming that Prince Harry is getting a significant amount of money from Prince Charles’ funds have created troubles in the palace.
However, the former husband of the late Princess Diana may, allegedly, find himself “overridden” and could, potentially, decide to cut the Duke and Duchess of Sussex off himself to save face.
The source stated:
“The Queen is very sensitive about anyone describing the royal family as freeloaders, and her grandson and his wife have been exposed to be the very definition of that by going cap in hand to Charles for money while they’re living in the lap of luxury in a mansion they’re not paying for in Beverly Hills.”
Up to this writing, it remains unclear if these speculations are true as Prince Charles has not yet confirmed or denied anything as of yet.
However, with Woman’s Day New Zealand’s history of fabricating stories based on the statements of its unreliable and unknown sources, these speculations could be works of fiction waiting to be debunked.
Hence, avid followers of Camilla Parker-Bowles’ husband should take these unverified claims lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
