Prince Charles has, allegedly, decided to stop funding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s needs after their Megxit.
According to Woman’s Day, Prince Charles was happy to help the Sussexes post-Megxit. But following the coronavirus pandemic, the heir to the throne was left with no choice but to fix his expenses. However, no concrete pieces of evidence can confirm that these hearsays are correct as of this writing.
“The royal finances are looking flimsy after the coronavirus pandemic. Charles has been advised to cut spending, and Harry and Meghan – who cost him several million a year out of his own pocket – are the deadest weight of all,” the unnamed source said, as per Woman’s Day.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle cost the royal family a huge sum of money?
Prince Harry and Markle have also been accused of being a money pit ever since they tied the knot in 2017. Back then, the royal couple, allegedly, shelled out $57 million.
“Harry and Meghan have been a money pit ever since their $57 million wedding, which Charles was then happy to do for them because they were full of promises over how they planned to serve as working members of his family. And they have cost him at least $10 million per year in general expenses in the past two years,” the source said.
Prince William allegedly upset with how much money Prince Charles spent on Sussexes
According to the source, Prince William was shocked when he found out how much money Prince Charles has spent on the Sussexes. As such, he, allegedly, decided to sit down with his dad so that they can fix their finances.
“William and Charles, who both foresaw problems with headstrong Meghan, feel like the answer is very simple: cut off the cash flow. They’re banking, so to speak, that they’ll convince Harry to return to them. And they’ll welcome him and Archie with open arms,” the source said.
The royal family allegedly want Prince Harry back, not Meghan Markle
The insider went on to suggest that the royal family only want Prince Harry back. After all, there isn’t any mention of Markle returning to the royal family.
The dubious source even said that Queen Elizabeth is furious at the Sussexes for speaking about politics. And Prince Harry and Markle may be asked to step down as president and vice president of her Commonwealth Trust.
“Charles is finding it harder and harder to justify funding their lives. And really, all he wants is his youngest son to return home,” the source concluded.
Rumors debunked
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. As of late, it is still unclear if Prince Charles is struggling with his finances.
