Following their split with the royal family, Prince Harry is criticized for “putting duty to one side” in exchange for a multi-million dollar deal.
The news came after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly signed a megawatt Netflix deal, six months after the couple officially stepped down as senior members of the Firm.
Moreover, the multi-year partnership with the streaming giant is reportedly worth a whopping $250 million.

In addition, multiple reports cited that it would produce content such as documentaries, docuseries, movies, scripted series, and children’s programming under the Sussexes’ untitled production company.
Following this, Us Weekly previously mentioned that the “animated series celebrating women and a nature documentary” is already in the works.
Meanwhile, Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings mentioned in his interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that he is thrilled with the upcoming project and teased the viewers that “it’s gonna be epic entertainment.”
Furthermore, he also assured that the company is “going to do a wide range of entertainment with them.”
Prince Harry blasted over Netflix deal
Now, the 36-year-old Prince is being accused of “commercializing” the royal family after accepting the million dollar deal with the streaming giant.
“Harry has sold his right now to have a problem with people commercializing The Royal Family, commercializing his mother because that’s what he’s done. And I do think it’s sad. But at the end of the day, Harry is his own man,” royal commentator Dan Wootton explained to “True Royalty TV.”
In addition, he believes that his duty in the royal family is not one of his priorities.
“I think he has put duty to one side in exchange for cash, and it’s not something that I will personally celebrate. Especially when you look at all of the good work he did do with the Invictus Games in the past.”
One of Prince Harry’s successful organizations and charitable brainchild is the Invictus Games that involve injured, wounded, or sick armed services personnel and veterans as they take part in the international adaptive multi-sport event.
Although he resigned from his royal duties, he remained the patron of Invictus along with his other organizations.
On the other hand, Wootton also warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that programs involving Princess Diana might “upset” and affect his relationship with his brother, Prince William.
“If Harry and Meghan go against that and make a program on Diana for Netflix, I think that will only throw salt in the wounds of the already very, very fundamentally damaged relationship between William and Harry,” the royal commentator furthered.
