Prince Harry missed his days when he was still with the army.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January that they were stepping back from their royal duties. In March, they carried out their final engagement and moved to the U.S.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are living privately in a secluded home in Los Angeles. However, Prince William’s brother wished he were still with the Army.
Prince Harry misses the army after Megxit, leaving the royal family
The Duke of Sussex served the Armed Forces for 10 years before he met and married Meghan Markle. He found many friends in the army and considered it a happy place for him.
Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth II stripped him of his military appointments when he and Markle decided to turn their backs from their royal roles. Now, Prince Harry is devastated by how things turn after the Megxit.
“Harry has told friends he is really missing the Army as well his military appointments. He misses the camaraderie of being in the forces,” a well-placed insider told The Daily Telegraph.
“He has been telling friends that he still can’t believe this has happened. He can’t believe his life has been turned upside down.”
Prince Harry felt he would be better protected if he was still with the army
The insider added that Prince Harry didn’t expect the Queen’s move. In fact, he couldn’t believe that his life had been turned upside down.
The source was convinced that Markle’s husband didn’t expect things to turn out the way they did. Also, he felt that his family would be safer if he was still a member of the army
“There is just a sense that he might have been better protected if he was still in the Army,” the source added.
What else did Queen Elizabeth forbid Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after royal exit
Prince Harry and Markle had been using the brand Sussex Royal when they were still full-time working royals. According to previous reports, they were seeking a global trademark for Sussex Royal.
However, the monarch was quick enough to order them not to use the word “royal” in their branding because they were no longer working royals. The Sussexes fired back by saying that the Queen has no jurisdiction of the word “royal” overseas. They also added that they had no plans of using it.
Many netizens praised Queen Elizabeth II for forbidding the couple from taking advantage of their royal connection. Several said that the monarch outplayed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with her decision.
