Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were expecting their first baby when they arrived in Australia. It happened during their Commonwealth tour.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced to the world that they were expecting their first child in October 2018. A year later, the royal couple attended the WellChild Awards 2019 as parents.
Prince William’s brother delivered a speech at the event. He was emotional when he confessed that Markle was already pregnant when they attended the event the previous year. They made their pregnancy announcement a month after WellChild Awards 2018.
“It has been over a decade since I first came to these awards and every year they never fail to surprise and inspire me. Yet this year, it resonates in a different way, because now I’m a father,” Prince Harry said on Oct. 15, 2019, per Insider.
“Last year when my wife and I attended we knew we were expecting our first child — no one else did at the time, but we did — and I remember…” Prince Harry continued with tears in his eyes.
The Duke of Sussex squeezed Markle’s hand and said that after becoming a dad, he could now relate to parents and what they do to protect and help their child.
“And now, as parents, being here and speaking to all of you pulls at my heart strings in a way I could have never understood until I had a child of my own,” the father of one said.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step back from their royal roles in January. They carried their final engagement in March and are currently living in the United States.
A source, The Sun, claimed that Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, moved in with them. The duchess’ mother is a former social worker and a yoga instructor. She is reportedly acting as her grandson, Archie’s nanny.
Prior to meeting and marrying Meghan Markle, Prince Harry had a big crush on Brad Pitt’s ex, Jennifer Aniston. The prince reportedly considered the Friends alum “princess material.”
Prince Harry told his friends that his favorite actress at the time was Aniston, and he also texted her with emojis.
Pitt’s ex-wife was reportedly aware of the royal’s feelings towards her and didn’t want to lead him on.
However, Aniston’s rep denied it and said that the “claims are false.”
