According to a report, Prince Harry is allegedly heading for rehab due to post-traumatic stress disorder caused by his mom Princess Diana’s death.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are tabloid favorites. They are always on the headlines of various outlets even after stepping down from their royal duties. One outlet claimed that the Duke of Sussex is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Prince Harry allegedly heading to rehab
New Idea published a report with a headline that read “Harry Rehab Shock.” The cover featured Prince Harry sitting inside a vehicle. It also quoted anonymous sources allegedly advising him to attend a health retreat.
Meghan Markle’s husband’s pals are “encouraging him to take a much-needed break,” the insider told New Idea. They asked him to go to a “health retreat to help him cope with the intense pressure he had been under” after Markle opened up about her miscarriage to the public.
It also quoted a doctor who suggested that Prince Harry “may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder” specifically caused by Princess Diana’s death. His wife, the Duchess of Sussex, also allegedly urged him to try a holistic path to cope with his past challenges once it is safe to do so. The outlet also suggested removing the distractions from his life might help the royal prince with his predicament.
Gossip Cop looked into the report and debunked it. First, the tabloid has a reputation for publishing deceptive articles. It promises one story in the headline and delivers a completely different one. The headline read, “rehab shock,” with Prince Harry in the back seat of a car on the cover.
It makes one think he is getting help for drug addiction. However, in the story, it quoted Prince Harry’s friends encouraging him for a health retreat.
“The tabloid knows exactly what it’s doing, and what it’s doing wrong,” Gossip Cop noted.
Second, it used Meghan Markle’s miscarriage to frame the entire story. However, it quoted a professional who claimed that Prince Harry was suffering from PTSD. The rumor-debunking site stressed that the professional it quoted never treated the duke because doctors do not comment. So, the article and its sources should not be taken seriously.
The report was a “predatory and reprehensible story” that uses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s actual misery to sell stories, Gossip Cop concluded.
Also, this isn’t the first time a tabloid claimed Prince Harry was suffering from PTSD. Globe also claimed that the royal suffered from the same condition after their U.S. move with a headline that read “Harry Rushed to Psych Ward!” Gossip Cop also debunked the report.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were doing fine, a source close to the royal couple said at the time.
