Prince Harry may worsen rift with Prince William with Netflix deal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s megadeal with Netflix may include a documentary about Princess Diana. If this happens, insiders fear it may add pain to the already painful rift the Duke of Sussex has with his brother, Prince William.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are, reportedly, holding discussions about the future documentary of the life of Princess Diana.

If the project pushes through, they will tell Prince William about it. However, it may fuel another rift between the royal siblings.

A documentary about Princess D may affect Prince William

A source told Mirror Online, Prince Harry, and Meghan are in talks to make a feature documentary about Princess Diana’s “family history and heritage.”

“It is early stages, but it is looking like it could happen,” the insider added. “It will work as a tribute to Diana and build on all the incredible charity work she has done.”

The tipster explained Netflix has been eyeing to make a documentary about the People’s Princess. It is something that the streaming giant has been pushing for.

But, it may have an impact on the two princes’ relationship.

“William and Harry have a difficult relationship, and they haven’t spoken for three months,” the source continued. “These plans could further antagonize their fallout. If it does happen, William will be the first to know.”

A new show Prince Harry, Meghan would produce

News emerged Netflix would stream a recorded stage show about the Princess of Wales, titled Diana: A New Musical. Mirror confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan had nothing to do about it.

The show would detail the breakdown of Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage.

As Prince Harry now joined Netflix, fans wanted him to ask the company to stop the show from release.

Anyhow, if Prince Harry and Meghan’s planned documentary would go ahead, it would cover Princess D’s heritage and legacy.

She helped changed the world about people’s perception of AIDS when she held the hand of a man suffering from the disease. She also banned the landmines and supported charities fighting against drug abuse, homelessness, and child poverty.

Surely, a film about Princess Diana would have a broad reach through Netflix, but Brits seemed to be unexcited about the deal.

In the survey YouGov made in the United Kingdom, it revealed Brits were not excited to see the Sussexes-made content.

According to The Sun, 64% of respondents said they were not interested to see the shows Prince Harry and Meghan would produce. Twenty percent were “not very interested,” while only three percent were interested to see their future shows. In addition, nine percent said they were “fairly interested,” while the rest was undecided.
