One thing that’s stopping Prince Harry from returning to his royal life is his wife, Meghan Markle.
According to a royal author, the clashes Meghan Markle has with the royal family members are going to be tough for Prince Harry.
Robert Lacey told Sky News (via Express UK) that the Duchess of Sussex’s impact on the British monarchy has been extraordinary and important in understanding whatever lies ahead to the next person who enters the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need to sort it out
The British royal family was excited to have the former Suits star as the newest addition to their family.
After all, she has already made a name for herself in the entertainment industry and is a millionaire in her own right.
However, Lacey claimed that the 39-year-old mom clashes with the royal family on several issues, such as social change and feminism. These causes are challenges.
Lacey said, “Unlike anyone that had been before in the royal family, she has these dedicated beliefs.”
Unless Prince Harry wants to come back home, he and Meghan Markle need to sort it all out.
It seems like the Duke of Sussex may not be returning to his family soon.
An American Christmas
Prince Harry, reportedly, refused to return home for Christmas despite initial reports saying he would.
A royal source told Vanity Fair that traveling has been challenging because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Duke thinks it isn’t the right moment to go back and forth to the UK and US, “certainly not before Christmas.”
“The problem is if he comes over, then he has to quarantine, and that makes things quite difficult,” said the source.
This would mean that the 36-year-old Prince would be spending the holidays in the US, away from Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham.
This is the second time he will be missing Christmas with the royal family.
In 2019, the couple spent their six-week break and the holidays from mid-November until January in Vancouver Island, Canada.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to spend their first American Christmas in their new mansion.
Meghan’s Trial in January
The Sussexes are expected to head to the UK in early January as Meghan will be part of a courtroom showdown in her case against the Associated Newspapers.
The hearing will be on Jan. 11, 2021, and is expected to last between eight and 10 days.
