Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may want to celebrate this year’s holidays in the U.K.
As the Christmas season is near, a source revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markel are considering traveling back to Britain. If this happens, it will be the first time that the couple will return to his hometown after stepping down as senior royals in March.
The Sussexes’ plan return to the U.K.
The insider told Us Weekly both of the Sussexes love the Royal Family tradition during the holidays.
“There’s a lot of tradition surrounding the holidays with his family,” the tipster revealed. “And they both have really loved that in the past.”
However, as the COVID-19 pandemic still looms, it remains to be seen if they can travel to the U.K.
“With the uncertainty of COVID, they have been taking it one day at a time,” the source continued. “[They] are hopeful that they can all go back together and spend it as a family.”

COVID-19 pandemic may affect Prince Harry, Meghan’s plan
The pandemic may affect Prince Harry and Meghan’s plan to visit the U.K. If they ever manage to land in the European country, they are likely to quarantine for two weeks before they can join the Royal Family.
“Time will tell if that will need to happen and if it could potentially impact what they do and when,” the insider explained. “But they are all eager to get back to spend time with Harry’s family.”
They also want their child, Archie, to see his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and great-grandfather, Prince Philip.
Prince Harry and Meghan relocated to California in March after they officially stepped back from their royal roles.
They originally wanted to divide their time between the U.S. and the U.K., but the COVID-19 pandemic happened.
Since the coronavirus lockdown began, they have been using video calls to communicate with other people, especially Queen Elizabeth.
“They have so much fun over Zoom, and they have bonded through Zoom calls,” the source shared. “He is excited to get Archie back [to London] so that they can see her.”
Despite the rumors plaguing Prince Harry’s relationship with his grandmother, the tipster disclosed he is incredibly close to the Queen.
Prince Harry’s confirmed return to the U.K.
Earlier, Prince Harry revealed he could have returned to the U.K. had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’ve got a whole Rugby League World Cup coming next year, so I definitely plan on coming back,” he said, Daily Star noted. “I would have been back already had it not been for Covid.”
Royal commentator Lizzie Robinson even confirmed the news. Aside from the world cup, Prince Harry would also return to the U.K. in time for the Invictus Games next year.
