After stepping down as senior members of the Firm, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived their post royal life in the U.S.
Alongside their one-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the family of three acquired their first home at Montecito in Santa Barbara back in August.
Multiple reports cited that their property in the exclusive neighborhood of Montecito costs a whopping $14.7 million.
Dubbed as the “Beverly Hills North,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are neighbors with Hollywood A-listers such as Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, and their close friend, Oprah Winfrey, who also attended the couple’s royal wedding in May 2018.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito mansion up for rent
As they have finally settled in their star-studded Montecito enclave, The Daily Mail cited that the Sussex’s new mansion is, reportedly, listed on Gigster for a staggering $700 an hour for video and photoshoots.
According to the rental website, the former royal’s Montecito home was described as an “Italian Villa” and can be rented for a minimum of 10 hours.
Aside from this, it can also accommodate up to 10 people and has 50 private parking slots.
The former royal’s 14,563-square-foot property features nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms and is also kid-friendly since it boasts a game room, tennis courts, arcade, theater, tea house, and a five-car garage.
However, the website also posted some house rules and restrictions that include no smoking, no cooking, no pets, no alcohol, and no “adult filming” allowed.
Prior to this, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been sharing a glimpse of their house through their virtual engagements as they have been hosting zoom interviews in the comfort of their own home.
Montecito home a.k.a Scarface Mansion
On the other hand, Mail Online revealed that Russian tycoon Sergey Grishin previously owns Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s house.
Known as “The Chateau,” the Montecito mansion is often referred to as “Scarface mansion” since it appeared in the 1983 Al Pacino film.
Moreover, Vogue previously mentioned that the former royal chose the neighborhood because of its quiet and private ambiance.
“Harry loves California, but they were both drawn to the smaller town of Santa Barbara, where they can integrate into the community while having some distance and privacy that is hard to come by in the Los Angeles area. For that reason, they had never intended to stay in Los Angeles.”
Meanwhile, Us Weekly revealed that Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, will be living with the family and is said to be Archie’s unofficial nanny.
