Details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tell-all book have emerged, and it’s about to hit the bookshelves in no time. As the revelations may hardly hit the royal family, a royal expert reveals Buckingham Palace now fears the Sussexes will use their biography to take vengeance and “settle scores.”
The book in question first had the provisionary title, Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Harry and Meghan. But, in the new Amazon post, it bears the name, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family. So, what it has to say?
Buckingham Palace fears Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s revelations
Royal expert Phil Dampier told New Idea that Buckingham Palace is afraid of the book’s publication. They fear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would use it as a form of revenge for the royal family. Hence, it is, allegedly, bracing itself to what may have come.
“There will be fears the couple wants to settle scores,” Dampier said. “And put their spin on what went wrong with Meghan’s brief royal life.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may reveal the reason behind their decision to step down as senior royals. Also, they may detail the treatment the former actress experiences when she’s still a fulltime working royal.
On the contrary, Dampier claimed Queen Elizabeth II did everything to make them feel welcome. She even leaves the monarchy’s door open for their possible return.
“But this book [is] only going to make things much worse,” he warned. “The royals will be worried that Harry and Meghan [will] try to take revenge with this.”
Aside from Dampier, other royal experts see the timing of the book’s release is quite significant. There are claims it will be initially out on the time of their son’s birth, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. However, it was pushed back due to the sudden and continuous changes in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives.
