Princess Diana’s former bodyguard urged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to ask Netflix to pull the screening of the stage show, Diana: A Musical.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently signed a $100-million deal with the streaming giant. Ken Wharfe wanted the couple to use their influence and stop Netflix from releasing the controversial musical.

As the COVID-19 put a stop to everything, it also canceled the Broadway’s production, including the musical.
Netflix reportedly planned to pull the show from the can and release it in the future.
Wharfe called out Prince Harry to urge Netflix to pull out the proposed project that featured his mom’s marriage life.
According to Mirror Online, the show sparked concerns among the royalists due to its portrayal of Princess Diana’s broken relationship with the Royal Family. It featured controversial lines and scenes, like the People Princess with James Hewitt in bed.
A scene showed Queen Elizabeth II seemed to threaten her former daughter-in-law. “In the old days we would have chopped off your head,” Her Majesty told Princess D.
It would reveal a fictional square up between Princess Diana and Camilla and show how she harmed herself. Prince Charles moaned they had another “boy” after Prince Harry’s birth instead of a girl.
The show debuted in March and described it to be a story of a “fearless princess who became timeless.” Amid the controversy surrounding it, Netflix seemed to be determined to film it in a theatre in New York that might be released worldwide next year.

The call for Prince Harry and Meghan to pull out the musical
The Sun reported playwright Joe DiPietro and Bon Jovi keyboard player David Bryan wrote Diana: A Musical.
They were thankful to be a part of the quality entertainment Netflix provided to its subscribers worldwide.
After Prince Harry and Meghan signed a deal with Netflix, there were calls for the show’s cancellation.
Wharfe explained the critics believed the musical was “not a joyous journey of love with a happy ending.” It was an “episodic account of untruths, scandal, and sex.”
“Harry loved his mother dearly and has spoken of her in such loving detail recently,” he added.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s contract entails the making of documentaries, films, scripted, and kids’ shows for Netflix.
