Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are, reportedly, planning to visit the U.K. for the holidays to let their son, Archie, be with his great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
Sure, there are “uncertainties” that come with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want their kid to spend some time with the Royal Family.
The love for Royal Family tradition
The Sussexes didn’t spend the Christmas period in the U.K. last year. However, a source told Vanity Fair that the Sussexes both loved the Royal Family’s holiday tradition, via Express.
“With the uncertainty of COVID, they have been taking it one day at a time,” the insider revealed. “[They] are hopeful that they can all go back together and spend it as a family.”
However, only time could tell if their plan would push through.
“Time will tell if that will need to happen,” the tipster added. “And if it could potentially impact what they do and when.”
Despite the uncertainties, they are both eager to return to the U.K. to be with Prince Harry’s family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained in touch with the Royal Family members through Zoom calls and video chats.
However, nothing beats the in-person meeting, especially sharing a sweet bond.
“Harry is so close with his grandmother,” the source shared. “He is excited to get Archie back to London so that they can see her.”

Prince Philip’s thoughts about Prince Harry’s exit
Meanwhile, a new biography about Prince Philip revealed how he saw Prince Harry’s departure from the monarchy. The Duke of Edinburgh found his grandchild’s move as a “dereliction” of his responsibilities.
Veteran royal biographer Ingrid Seward wrote the book, Prince Philip Revealed, about the 99-year-old royal. Here, she detailed the senior royal’s thoughts about Megxit.
“He has struggled greatly, for example, with what he sees as his grandson Harry’s dereliction of duty,” she said, per People. “[He gave] up his homeland and everything he cared about for a life of self-centered celebrity in North America.”
Seward claimed Prince Philip found it hard to understand what made Prince Harry’s life in the monarchy unbearable that he left.
“As far as Philip was concerned, Harry and Meghan had everything going for them,” she continued.
They have a home in Windsor, a son, and an opportunity to make a global change through their charity work.
Hence, Prince Philip believed Prince Harry surrendered his seat to be with Meghan Markle, just like Edward VIII did.
