There is a new book about Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship, and it may delve into the controversial Sandringham Summit earlier this year.
The Crown’s historian, Robert Lacey, sheds some light on Prince Harry and Prince William’s bond before and after Megxit. Titled Battle of Brothers, it will reveal what really happened between the two royal siblings.
“Battle of Brothers”, a new book about the two princes’ relationship
According to The Sun, the two princes have “cut contact” for a couple of months after the Duke of Sussex left the firm.
In January, the Sussexes announced their plan to step down as senior royals, which came effective at the end of March. They initially moved to Canada with their son, Archie, but later moved to California.
They now have their own mansion in Montecito.
In the equally controversial biography, Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed the reason for the couple’s exit.
They said Prince Harry felt the Buckingham Palace’s “old guard” didn’t like his wife, Meghan Marke. Prince William, too, was said to be snobbish of the former actress.
Hence, the book Battle of Brothers promises to give an inside look at the beginning of Prince Harry and Meghan’s relationship that made Prince William worried.
Rumors have it the Duke of Cambridge was afraid how things turned out so fast for his brother and then-girlfriend.
The controversial Sandringham Summit
Using his sources, who Lacey claimed “very close to the royals,” he will also reveal the “real, unvarnished story” of the Sandringham Summit.
To recall, the summit held the important talk about Prince Harry and Meghan’s future before they stepped back from their royal roles.
Led by Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II herself, they decided the terms that would come with the Megxit. This, allegedly, even includes Her Majesty’s angry response over their decision, Tatler noted.
The book will also give a glimpse of the confrontation between Prince Harry and the Palace that comes from a high-level insider.
Battle of Brothers comes on the heels of Finding Freedom, which also angers Queen Elizabeth, New Idea reported.
The Queen is said to be disappointed the couple has to air the dirt of the family.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan strongly claimed they had nothing to do with the biography, which Scobie and Durand denied.
In addition, Prince Harry and Meghan’s signing with Harry Walker Agency and Netflix also, reportedly, anger Queen Elizabeth.
