Excerpts from the unofficial biography, “Finding Freedom,” reveal that Prince Harry said, “I love you” first to Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have remained silent these past few days following the release of the excerpts from Finding Freedom. The “bombshell” biography reportedly details the royal lives of the Sussex couple, from their meeting up to their exit earlier this year.
The book is out in August. But, ahead of its release, several publications reported some excerpts from the unofficial biography. The most recent passage reportedly centers on how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met in 2016.
They had a “palpable attraction”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first met at London’s Dean Street Townhouse in 2016, according to Finding Freedom‘s latest extracts, the Daily Mail reported. The date reportedly lasted for three hours, with the two having beers and martinis.
The book further reveals that they discussed their respective works and passions, so “engrossed” that they became immediately “obsessed” with each other. As noted, the pair “raved” about one another to their friends after the first date.
They did not kiss, though, on the first night, the book adds. However, they reportedly agreed to meet again at the same venue for a second date.
They flew to Botswana six weeks later
Following the first two dates, Prince Harry asked Meghan Markle to fly back to London. This reportedly happened six weeks after their last meeting.
The now-Duchess of Sussex spent a night with the royal-born Prince inside Kensington Palace after arriving from Toronto. They then reportedly flew to Johannesburg the next morning, a source shared in the biography.
With the use of a private airplane, the pair flew to Maun International Airport and headed to Okavango Delta in Botswana. They spent days in the safari country, and came back “completely spellbound,” the sources added.
Three months into the relationship, Prince Harry said, “I love you” to Meghan Markle, Page Six, reiterated from the biography. Although he said it first, the book reportedly noted that the Suits actress immediately replied, “I love you, too.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle denied book contributions
Amid all the shocking details from the excerpts of Finding Freedom, the Sussex couple reportedly “denied” having contributions to the material. Reports said, however, that they have yet to dispute the claims.
Speaking to the publications, a spokesperson of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly said that the authors did not interview them for the book. As explained, the entirety of the book is “based” on the experiences of the authors “as members of the royal press corps, as well as their own “independent reporting.”
