Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s hefty spending habits worsened the alleged rift with the Cambridges, experts claimed.
Prince Harry and Prince William used to share a very close relationship. For most of their lives, they relied on each other, especially after the death of their mother, Princess Diana.
However, things had since changed when Meghan Markle arrived into the royal fold. While the British Royals did reportedly accept her into the family, there were a few things that raised concerns on the Cambridges’ part. As stated, this sparked the alleged rift between the royal siblings.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the “intervention”
Prince Harry first met Meghan Markle on a blind date. Sources said that they immediately moved on to the next stage of their relationship in just a short period of time. Within just a year, the royal-born Prince proposed to the former actress.
This reportedly raised a few concerns on Prince William and Kate Middleton’s part. In the recently released book, Royals at War, royal authors Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett claimed that the Cambridge couple gave the Duke of Sussex an “intervention” regarding his relationship to the Duchess of Sussex, according to the Daily Mail.
As explained, the future King and Queen Consort felt that the young Prince’s move to marry Meghan was “abrupt” and immediate. They reportedly asked him whether she is already the “right one,” and if he was certain about it.
Despite the good intentions, Prince Harry reportedly took it the wrong way. The intervention did not go well with him, the authors said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spending habits
Prince Harry reportedly thought that his family did not like Meghan Markle. But, this is far from the truth, the book further explains.
Aside from taking offense, the Sussex couple’s “hefty” spending habits also raised concerns. Prince William and Kate Middleton had worries that they were spending too much money, Cheat Sheet reported.
The same book reportedly revealed this narrative. As explained, the Duke and Duchess “ramped up” their spending habits before Archie Harrison’s birth. The royal-born Prince also reportedly “supported” the Duchess’ Hollywood lifestyle, which included hefty acupuncture sessions, massages, and luxury vacations.
Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett also mentioned in their book that Meghan’s arrival has changed Prince Harry, along with his lifestyle. These things did not reportedly sit well with his brother. But, despite letting them know about the concerns, alongside their good intentions, this seemed to have only drifted them apart.
