Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced a wave of criticism over the controversial Time 100 video special.
During their first-ever primetime TV appearance in celebration of TIME magazine’s annual list of the world’s most influential people, the duo spoke about the upcoming US national elections.
Filmed in the Sussexes’ $14 million exclusive Montecito mansion in Santa Barbara, they reminded the Americans of the importance of practicing their right to vote and make a change.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Slammed Over US Election Speech
Unfortunately, the politically woke couple were slammed by the public, saying that this is against the royal protocol.

One of their vocal critics is British presenter Morgan Piers.
In his column for The Daily Mail, the 55-year-old host points out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be “stripped” of their royal titles for their “brazen disregard for royal neutrality.”
Although they stepped down as senior members of the Firm last April, the most sought after couple still holds the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as Earl and Countess of Dumbarton.
Royal Commentators Claims Prince Harry “Is Never Going to Stand Up” to Meghan Markle
Now, two royal commentators chimed in with Morgan and suggested that the pair should remain politically neutral as their respect to the monarchy.
As cited by Express.co.uk, journalist Dan Wootton claimed that the 36-year-old Prince remained the “obedient” husband who is agreeing with his wife’s goal.
“He is chipping in on Meghan Markle’s pet projects with perfectly scripted woke-ism British princely charm.”
He then asked if the Duke of Sussex would “stand up” to the former “Suits” actress.
British journalist Dawn Neesom believes that it was unlikely Prince Harry to stand up against her wife regarding political issues.
Moreover, Wootton describes the Duke of Sussex as a “henpecked husband” and thinks that the couple is as bad as each other.
“He is never going to stand up to her; he is the very definition of a henpecked husband.”
Following their exile from the British monarchy, the two have been vocal about sensitive issues involving political, social, and humanitarian issues.
In their latest speech, the former royals were also castigated by US President Donald Trump and said that he is “not a fan” of Meghan Markle and mocked Prince Harry as he wished him “a lot of luck.”
