Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face another round of criticisms from Lady Colin Campbell in her book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to step back from their royal roles. The couple moved to the United States and decided to work to be financially independent.
Even if they are already no longer working royals, they remain among the media’s favorite subjects, and this is evident in Campbell’s book.
Prince Harry ‘pathetic’ and weak
Lady Colin Campbell called Prince Harry “pathetic” in her book. In addition, she said he is weak compared to his wife, Meghan Markle.
Meanwhile, she called Meghan Markle “an operator” and a “total opportunist.”
“She knew in advance she’d embark on commercial ventures, which royalty strictly forbids. She now has what she wanted — a millionaire’s life in Hollywood,” she said about the duchess per Page Six.
Campbell also mentioned what Prince Harry lost after welcoming Markle in his life.
“She’s caused Harry to lose most of his friends. He’s weaker than she. He’s run ragged. Despite the sex, she will make his life miserable. He has no strength of character to leave her,” she added.
Meghan Markle wants to run for president
Campbell also claimed that Prince Harry’s wife had plans to join the politics. In fact, she said that Markle’s move to the U.S. was her original plan from the start.
“I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions and I’ve been told that one day she wants to run for President,” Campbell told FEMAIL.
“I think everything she is doing, leaving the royal family and moving back to California is part of her plan and she has taken Harry along with her.”
Markle allegedly dropped warning sign after the royal wedding
Meghan Markle attended the garden party for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday on May 23, 2018. It happened four days after she married Prince Harry.
However, Campbell claimed that the duchess dropped warning signs of unhappiness during the outing. Prince Harry’s wife allegedly did something that “astonished” a person at the event with “impeccable palace connections.”
“We were all absolutely gobsmacked and astonished, we all thought this doesn’t bode well. It was not a good harbinger, we were all hoping against hope the information was wrong, but of course it was accurate,” Campbell claimed, Daily Star reported.
Campbell admitted that she has not met Markle yet. For her, it was an advantage because it allows her to be “ruthlessly impartial” towards the duchess.
“I neither like nor dislike her, but I do feel that she has squandered the most wonderful opportunity,” she said.
