Prince Harry and Prince William have been rumored to be feuding and none of them extended an olive brance to end their rift.
Prince Harry and Prince William were very close growing up. In fact, Prince Harry was dubbed as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third wheel because the royal trio was inseparable. However, they drifted apart after he met and married Meghan Markle. They are set to reunite on Friday for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue which they commissioned, but their relationship has not improved yet.
Prince Harry and Prince William not extending an olive branch
Princess Diana will be revealed in the gardens of Kensington Palace on her would have been 60th birthday on Thursday. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry will be there for the event.
However, the royal siblings have reportedly showed no signs of reconciliation ahead of the event. According to an insider, none of them made an effort to reach out to each other to mend their relationship.
“Neither are offering an olive branch,” an insider told the Sunday Times.
“I fear it will be the same as at Prince Philip’s funeral, a nod of recognition and that’s about it.”

Hary already arrived in the U.K
The Duke of Sussex already returned to his home country last week. He arrived days before the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue because he has to quarantine for at least five days. An unnamed insider said earlier that Prince Harry would land in the U.K. and isolate before taking a COVID-19 test to make sure that he is negative before the event.
The Duke of Sussex will stay in Frogmore Cottage, his home in the U.K. Meghan Markle’s husband stayed there when he also visited U.K. for Prince Philip’s funeral in April.
Prince Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, together with their 4-month-old son August have been living in Frogmore Cottage. However, they will remain separated from Prince Harry and everyone will observe COVID-19 protocols until Prince Harry has been tested.
Twitter reaction to Prince Harry’s homecoming
Twitter users have mixed opinions about Harry flying back to the U.K. for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue. One called him a prodigal son while another hoped that it would be the last that he would visit Britain. A different user also accused Prince Harry of bullying Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles who will not be attending the event following his interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, many were also happy that Prince William’s brother took the time to visit the U.K. and be part of the event for his mom. They knew that he is a busy person, so they appreciate his attendance.
